Dr. AWOLUMATE Samuel holds a Ph. D in Fisheries Economics and Management from the University of Ibadan (2017). He is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Animal Science and Fisheries, National Open University of Nigeria.
Dr. AWOLUMATE holds specialities in Aquaculture; Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Sociology, Artisanal Fisheries Resources Management and Administration. He has a broad range of research experience and practical know-how having owned and set up several farms and fish farms across Nigeria. He is an astute scholar; holds a Ph.D. in Fisheries Economics and Management; MSc. in Wildlife and Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan (2005); B. Agriculture in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1993).Dr. Awolumate has served in various capacities within the University: Deputy Dean, Faculty of Agriculture (2017-2019); Centre Director (2018); Faculty Representative in Senate (2015-2019); Coordinator, Research, Training, Consultancy, Patenting of intellectual property, DEAGS (2018-2019), and Faculty Examination Officer (2010-2021). He is currently the Coordinator, South West Incubation Centre, Directorate for Entrepreneurship and General Studies (DEAGS), and a member of the University Examination Committee of the University.
Dr. AWOLUMATE has his papers published in over 28 Journals Local and International. He is a member of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria and the Society for Wetland Scientist; the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria.
