Welcome to Southwest Incubation centre, located in 14/16 Ahmadu Bellow Way, Lagos liaison office, National Open University of Nigeria, Lagos.
We provide a supportive entrepreneurial environment at our virtual lab and workshop that accelerates the successful development of student’s start-up through an array of adequate activities and resources. Our team is made up of a Coordinator, 8 senior staff, 3 junior staff, 1 technical staff and 12 desk officers at the 12 study centres under the incubation centre.
Our main goal is explore, develop and deliver creative entrepreneurs. We aspire to develop individual talent, skills and personality to give each business the best possible start, thus fostering entrepreneurship at a local and national level. We currently have 55 active incubatees, eight (8) of which have prototyped their creative and innovative products and services. We facilitate academic course (GST302), formal and informal meetings, workshops, and trainings related to startups, entrepreneurship and innovation. We also help incubatee understand and solve their business and ecosystem challenges, and connect them with academia, corporates, industry, funding agencies as well as relevant government and non-government officials.
South West Incubation Centre is overseeing GST 302 activities in the twelve Study Centers in South West which includes:

Incubatees
The Centre has about 35 Incubatees with Entrepreneurial ideas in the area of fashion, cosmetics, digital technology, Agriculture and others out of this number one student recently received an international award on Digital Technology
Activities at the Centre
Some of the activities at the Centre include:
- orientation and sensitization of GST 302 students on how to structure and upload their Business plan
- Sensitization /interaction with incubates
- Training of staff at the Incubation Centre
- Assessment of GST 302 presentation
